Thanks for visiting our fan page!  We welcome you to join the conversation about living with epilepsy along with others who are doing the same.  Please check out our community guidelines below to learn how you can get involved.

Guidelines to commenting on our Facebook page:

UCB, a global biopharmaceutical company committed to developing innovative treatments for neurological diseases such as epilepsy, is proud to sponsor the Epilepsy Advocate Facebook community. We believe that your experiences and opinions should be heard, but we hope you understand that UCB operates in a highly regulated environment. Here are some guidelines for commenting that need to be adhered to. Unfortunately, not following these guidelines may result in your comment being pulled from our wall.

Please don't mention any product or drug names:

Whether you're happy with your current treatment plan or not, please don't use this Facebook page as a forum to discuss any pharmaceutical brand—either by name or suggestion—or information about clinical trials for products or medical devices or procedures. If you do, your comment may be pulled from our wall.

Side effects? Let the right people know:

The Epilepsy Advocate Facebook wall is not intended to be a place to report side effects. If you have experienced an adverse event (side effect) or product quality complaint with a UCB product, please contact your doctor and fill out this form (https://uci.ucb.com) or contact your local Drug Safety office (http://www.ucb.com/worldwide).    We may be required to follow up with you for more information. All information shared with UCB Drug Safety will be kept confidential.

Some questions are best answered by your doctor.
Everyone's experience with epilepsy is different. So if you have questions about your diagnosis or disease, we recommend consulting your doctor, rather than relying on any advice or suggestion you get on this wall. It's natural to want to provide medical advice to your fellow visitors, but UCB does not and cannot verify the comments posted here and makes no warranties as to the comment's accuracy, timeliness, quality, completeness, or relevance.

Be nice. We're all friends here.

We enjoy a healthy, friendly, supportive community.

We ask that you be part of that community by not posting content that:

  • Is abusive, defamatory, libelous, or slanderous
  • Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading
  • Is in violation of any intellectual property right
  • Is obscene, explicitly sexual, or contains nudity
  • Is in violation of any law or regulation
  • Solicits any business from members in the community
  • Mentions specific doctor or hospital names

It's everyone's community. Share and share alike.

We want everyone in the Epilepsy Advocate community to feel free to share in a comfortable, supportive environment. We're open to differing opinions and even criticism. But if you don't see your post, it may have been removed by our team because it didn't follow the community guidelines.

So remember, please respect your fellow fans and keep your comments appropriate.

And keep in mind that this is a public forum, so others will see your posts.

If you still have questions, please contact UCBCares®http://www.askucbcares.com/contact-us.
